K2 developed a customized product to address specific performance questions raised by the customer.

PROBLEM 1:

Lead acid batteries were too heavy, pollute the environment and the life was too short.

K2 SOLUTION:

K2's 36V ebike battery weighs only 4 pounds and has a 3-5+ year shelf life, eliminating the need for annual replacements.

PROBLEM 2:

Lithium batteries are too expensive.

K2 SOLUTION:

K2's integrated design and manufacturing process coupled with its advances in energy storage chemistry delivers three to four times the energy for a given weight than other battery technologies. By providing higher energy density, better capacity utilization and recognition of use patterns, K2 delivered a battery a third the size of existing technologies at a third the cost.
