 Every year over 15 billion batteries are produced and sold worldwide. In sharp contrast to our rechargeable LFP Batteries, many are single use alkaline batteries that are quickly used and then thrown away. Other rechargeable batteries like Lead-Acid, NiCd, and NiMH have limitations on cycle life and performance. These rechargeable batteries have heavy metals and toxic compounds which are harmful to the environment and require special disposal. Traditional lithium-ion batteries (LCO) offer benefits but suffer from a limited life and the safety concerns of thermal runaway.
